Milano Modena Cocktail

By: @mixography

Inspired by the Milano Torino cocktail, which unites each city’s iconic aperitivo, and the Spagliato- a Negroni riff “mistakenly” prepared with Prosecco instead of gin- my Milano Modena or “Mi-Mo” combines Emilia-Romagna’s Lambrusco with its legendary vinegar in a recipe tailor-made for spritz lovers.

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOP

  • .75 oz. Campari

  • .25 oz. Balsamic Vinegar of Modena “Invecchiato"

Directions:

  1. Measure each ingredient into a chilled highball glass filled with ice cubes

  2. Garnish with an orange wedge

The European Union (EU) will only give a product PGI status if they decide it has a reputation, characteristics, or qualities that are a result of the area you want to associate with. It is the PGI logo that guarantees the consumer about the authenticity of the product they are buying.
